从“图像证史”到“图史互证” | 思想史视角下的图像研究与艺术史的独特经验

Image Research and Unique Experience of Art History from the Perspective of Ideological History

摘要: 2019年9月21日,作为“文研三周年”系列学术活动之一,由北京大学人文社会科学研究院主办的跨学科对话“思想史与艺术史”在北京大学举行。复旦大学文史研究院及历史系特聘资深教授葛兆光、浙江大学艺术与考古学院院长白谦慎担任与谈人。近年来,思想史与艺术史领域对图像的关注与日俱增,对图像的研究视角和方法也发生了鲜明转向。就思想史而言,学者不再拘泥于仅仅把图像当作文献的旁证,而更加注重图像本身的色彩、位置、结构等元素,试图使它本身就成为史料;就艺术史而言,学界也将研究视域从纯粹的审美或技术分析转向图像背后的时代思想和价值观念。基于上述研究转向,思想史和艺术史之间出现了对话的契机。

Abstract: On September 21, 2019, the seminar on “History of Thought and Art” was held in Peking University. Ge Zhaoguang, a distinguished senior professor of Fudan University, and Bai qianshen, Dean of the School of Art and Archaeology in Zhejiang University, served as the meeting participants. In recent years, the ?eld of history of thought and art pays more and more attention to images, and the research perspective and methods of images have changed dramatically. As far as the history of thought is concerned, scholars no longer cling to the image as the circumstantial evidence of documents, but pay more attention to the color, position, structure and other elements of the image itself, trying to make it become the historical materials; as far as the history of art is concerned, the academic circles also turn the research horizon from pure aesthetic or technical analysis to the era thoughts and values behind the image. Based on the above research turn, there is an opportunity and necessity for dialogue between the history of thought and the history of art.
