生态范式转换是人工智能发展的新趋势。在精度与效率的审度权衡中,“红色人工智能”目前在人工智能领域占据范式主导,多数智能系统以精度与速度为首要准则,却在很大程度上忽视全生命周期中的巨大生态成本。着眼于对准确性的无休止追求及对生态足迹的现实性考察,重视效率且蕴有强大生态潜力的“绿色人工智能”应运而生。人工智能的生态范式转换就是推动“红色人工智能”跃迁至“绿色人工智能”。这一转换既包含环境可持续性、生态正义和生态自由的理论议题,同时存在资本陷阱、政策滞后、技术缺陷和价值迷思的实践困境。对此,需要从研发、监管、应用各环节探索改革方案,以推进人工智能的生态范式转换。

Abstract:
Ecological paradigm shift is a new trend in the development of artificial intelligence. In the balance between accuracy and efficiency, “Red AI” currently dominates the paradigm in the field of artificial intelligence,with most intelligent systems taking accuracy and speed as the primary criteria, while largely ignoring the huge ecological costs generated during the whole life cycle. Focusing on the endless pursuit of accuracy and the realistic investigation of the ecological footprint, “Green AI” that attaches importance to efficiency and has strong ecological potential came into being. The ecological paradigm shift of artificial intelligence is essentially to promote the transition from “Red AI” to “Green AI”, which not only contains the theoretical core issues of environmental sustainability, ecological justice and ecological freedom, but also has practical dilemmas such as capital traps, policy lag, technical defects and value myths. In this regard, it is necessary to explore reform plans from the aspects of research and development, supervision, and application to effectively promote the ecological paradigm shift of artificial intelligence.
