美国汉学对中国现代文学学科的审美性碰撞——以夏志清、李欧梵、王德威为人物表

The Aesthetic Collision of American Sinology on Modern Chinese Literature ——With Xia Zhiqing, Li Oufan and Wang Dewei as Representatives

摘要: 中国现代文学学科在大陆高校的学科设置,始于1949年后。该学科的七十年历史,大体可以1980年为界。1980年前为“一体化” 学科(以下简称“80前”学科),而1980年后,则渐趋多元与开放。其中尤以夏志清、李欧梵、王德威三位美籍华人影响最大,分别于1980年代、1990年代、21世纪初造成三波审美性碰撞,并引发争议与讨论。面对美国汉学的中国现代文学研究做何评价诚然可见仁见智,但夏志清、李欧梵与王德威三人,委实从“道德审美”“历史审美”“现代性审美”三方面,切实弥补了“80前”学科的疏漏或匮乏。

Abstract:

 The discipline establishment of modern Chinese literature in universities of mainland began after 1949. Before 1980, it was an “integrated” discipline, but after 1980, it became more diversified and open. Xia Zhiqing, Li Oufan and Wang Dewei, three Chinese-Americans, were the most influential expert. They caused three waves of aesthetic collision in the 1980s, 1990s and the beginning of the 21st century, which caused controversy and discussion. It is true that there are different opinions on how to evaluate the study of Chinese modern literature in American sinology. However, the three scholars make up for the lack of past disciplines from the aspects of  “moral aesthetics” “historical aesthetics” and  “modernity
aesthetics”.
