摘要:

数学人文,是科学,还是人文学?这一问题关乎人文学在计算哲学、数字人文等兴起背景下的自我理解。数学人文以人文学的方式化用数学工具,或者说,将数学工具规抚为一种具有精神科学特质的工具,无疑大大拓展了人文学解释工具的范围,但并不因此终 结我们关于问题的讨论。π喻、正态分布之喻的开放性,在一定程度上例证了数学人文 的人文性及进一步发展的可能性。此外,数学人文又接近社会科学。将统计学方法应用于阐释现象,或许可以成立一种阐释统计学,它将是一门主要以阐释这一人文现象为对象的社会科学,而非作为人文学的阐释学。

Abstract: Is mathematics humanities science or humanities? This is key to the self-identification of humanities under the background of the arising of computational philosophy and digital humanities. By turning mathematical tools into humanistic ones, mathematical humanities enrich their arsenal without losing their being humanistic. The openness of π-metaphor and normal distribution metaphor proves the humanity of mathematical humanities and the possibility of further development. In addition, mathematical humanities is close to social sciences. When applying statistics on hermeneutic phenomena, we will establish a hermeneutic statistics, which is mainly a social science studying hermeneutic phenomena rather than hermeneutics as a discipline of humanities.
